Physiology's 2018 Macallum & FIP
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Dr. Mona Nemer has agreed to be Physiology’s 2018 Macallum Lecturer. Dr. Nemer is a distinguished cardiac researcher (Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Member of the Order of Canada) whose work focuses on the molecular mechanisms of heart development and function, particularly in relation to heart failure and congenital heart diseases. She is the former Vice-President of Research at the University of Ottawa, and most recently, Dr. Nemer was appointed as Canada’s Chief Science Advisor.
Dr. Nemer will deliver the Macallum Lecture on the afternoon of Thursday May 3, 2018 (3 pm, Mount Sinai Hospital Auditorium, 18th Floor, 600 University Ave). Reception to follow in the Hennick Family Wellness Gallery of Mount Sinai Hospital.
Physiology’s Annual Research Day, FIP will follow on Friday May 4, 2018 (full day of presentations/posters) Location: MaRS Auditorium.
