The Legacy of Insulin Discovery: Origins, Access, and Translation

A full-day symposium sponsored by the Royal Society of Canada in association with the University of Toronto. 

The symposium is divided into three streams:

Session 1 - Patient Perspectives
Session 2 - Public Health Challenges Related to Insulin
Session 3 - Commercialization and future scientific research into insulin and diabetes prevention

Department of Physiology Professors Gary Lewis and Patricia Brubaker will be keynote speakers on the Future of Insulin Treatment and Diabetes Prevention Science panel from 5:30-6:15.
